What is DTC?
First of all, the full expansion of DTC is "Diagnostic Trouble Code" in English, which means "diagnostic error code" if we translate it exactly. We realize whether many electronic components in our vehicle are working or not through the malfunction warning lamp on the indicator located in the cockpit. But this lamp is a general warning. When connected to the vehicle computer, that is, the ECU, we see different codes, numbers and warnings on the device screen with the areas/parts that cause the error.

Of course, it is possible to delete these codes on the brain, but since some error codes can be permanent, even if you delete them, the malfunction light will turn on again in a short time. In such cases, a service that has a good command of your vehicle's mechanical and electronic knowledge may require a part replacement after the fault is detected, or it may be repaired according to the customer's request.
How to Clear Fault Codes and What is DTC Cancellation?
In the event of parts replacement, general malfunction, socket removal-plugging and sensor failure, the vehicle brain, that is, the electronic control unit, records all of them one by one in the background and processes them into the system with the fault code. If the Fault/Warning lamp comes on continuously or after the shutdown process, these codes are analyzed and parsed on the screen via the professional device system. Before the closed/deleted state is written to the vehicle computer again, the original backup of the file is taken and thus the codes are permanently deleted after the installation. This process is also called DTC Cancellation. After the DTC Cancellation application, your vehicle's instrument panel does not give a malfunction warning due to the relevant code and the problem is solved.
